What SIXNET software do I have to purchase?

All SIXNET hardware includes a license for the basic level of the SIXNET I/O Tool Kit software. This utility allows you to configure, calibrate and test your I/O. If you would like to use the IOmap shared database, import/export tags, or perform peer to peer I/O transfers then you need to purchase the SCS option group. If you need to perform datalogging and client transfers in a SIXNET controller, RTU, or RemoteLog then you would need to purchase the Sixlog option group. For stand alone control in these stations you need to purchase the ISaGRAF programming software. For LINUX IPm controllers and RTUs, you need to purchase the LINUX option group to utilizes these features. Feel free to install or download this software in order to try it out.

How is the SIXNET I/O Tool Kit registered?

When you purchase an option group you will be assigned a serial number. Just fill out the registration window in the SIXNET I/O Tool Kit software including this serial number, and fax or email this information to SIXNET. We will promptly send you a registration number that will enable you to use the features that you paid for.

Is there an SIXNET I/O driver for my HMI/SCADA package?

Most likely, because there are several methods for interfacing to SIXNET I/O. The first is with the SIXNET IOmap which is an option of the SIXNET I/O Tool Kit software. This shared database supports OPC, DDE, and direct DLL calls. SIXNET also offers a Modbus OPC Server that talks Modbus/TCP and provides access via OPC or DDE. A third method is to use the Modbus/OPC driver that comes with most HMI/SCADA software. Click below for more details:

Citect
Intellution FIX32 and iFIX Dynamics
Wonderware Intouch and Incontrol
Other HMI/SCADA software

I'm getting an error when I install software from the SIXNET CD?

First, restart your computer and make sure not to run any SIXNET software. Make sure you don't have Power Switch in your Startup because this will automatically run SIXNET software when your computer starts up. Then retry the installation. Click here for more installation trouble shooting tips.
