| I
get an error saying that a file couldn't be written or a file
move operation has failed.
|
| This
usually means that Windows is still using the file and therefore
it cannot be over-written. To solve this, it is recommended that
you reboot your computer and do not run any applications after
start-up. If you have a Power Switch in your Startup group or
the SIXNET NT Service enabled then your computer will automatically
run an IOmap on startup. Make sure you temporarily remove the
Power Switch from your startup group (or disable the SIXNET NT
service by setting it to manual) before rebooting. Now retry the
SIXNET software installation and you should not get any errors.

| I
get an error that my oleaut32 file is out of date.
|
| This
probably means that your are running Windows 95 or an old version
of Windows 98, and your oleaut32 file is too old for the software
that you are trying to install. Contact
SIXNET technical support for a newer version of DCOM which
installs this file. |

| I
get an error regarding comctl32.
|
| This
means that your version of comctl32 is too old for the software
that you are trying to install. Contact
SIXNET technical support for a newer version of comctl32.
|
| |
| I
get an error regarding Winsock.
|
| This
means that your are running Windows 95, and do not have Winsock
installed. Winsock is required for Ethernet TCP/IP communications.
Contact SIXNET
technical support for a newer version of Winsock. |
| |
| I
am using Windows 95A.
|
| Windows
95A, 3.x, and NT 3.5x are not support by the latest SIXNET utilities.
|
| |
| I
get an "Access Denied" error.
|
| This
probably means that you are running Windows NT or 2000 and do
not have the appropriate user privileges to install software to
your computer. You need to log in as Administrator to adjust your
user privileges or to install the software. You may need to contact
your MIS or computer department to do this.
