EtherTRAK I/O
 Etherbus® PoE Power Option

Eliminate power wiring and reduce costs by supplying power directly through the Ethernet cable.

Etherbus® Simplifies Distributed Installations
An innovative combination of EtherTRAK-2 I/O with an internal Etherbus
® power splitter will eliminate power wiring to distributed enclosures, save panel space by eliminating the separate power supply, and further reduce cost by only requiring a single device for I/O handling and power conditioning.

EtherTRAK-2 I/O                          With an internal                  Creates an integrated
                                                       power splitter                I/O + Etherbus® PoE solution

Power Everything At the Site!
The internal 24 VDC power supply in the Etherbus I/O module supplies power to run your instrumentation, operator interfaces
and additional EtherTRAK-2 I/O modules. Approximately 10 Watts of power is available. Any conventional 24 VDC
devices can be powered by the Etherbus
® PoE-generated power output.

Etherbus® is “Everybus”
Etherbus® is the only truly open fieldbus because it works perfectly with all protocols and Ethernet messages. (Etherbus® cabling works with Modbus TCP and it even works with proprietary Profi-NET and Ethernet IP Fieldbus messages.) This is possible because Etherbus® is compliant with the 802.3af PoE standard that operates at the physical layer of Ethernet and is transparent to the Ethernet message packets.

Kevlar Super Etherbus® Cable

We recommend Kevlar reinforced Etherbus® cable as the best practice for installing PoE wiring (or any Ethernet cabling) between enclosures. This high strength, flexible cable is chemical resistant and operates even down to -55°C.
