Developing Linux Applications in a SIXNET IPm-based Managed Switch
TFTP Servers - A TFTP Server is an optional way to save/retrieve a checkpoint (configuration) file to/from a remote location or to upgrade the firmware in a SIXNET Managed Switch. If you are running Linux then a TFTP server is probably included with your Linux OS or is available from your Linux software vendor. If you are running windows then several free TFTP Servers are available on the web, such as the following:

	Solarwinds TFTPd32		See the appendix of the Software User Manual for a quick guide for installaing and using the TFTPd32 server.
	Note: SIXNET offers no support for using these products and makes no claims as to how well they perform.
