ET-4RTD-4DI2 Usage Tips
The use of three-wire RTDs is recommended. If you have four-wire RTDs, just disregard the extra wire on one side of the RTD. This module compensates for the resistance in the lead wires by measuring the resistance in one lead and doubling the measurement to correct for the resistance in the second lead as well.
RTDs should be insulated from ground whenever possible to avoid ground loops and increase the reliability and accuracy of the readings.
The use of two-wire RTDs is not recommended.
Be sure to configure the module for the resistance temperature coefficient that matches your RTD sensors.
