ST-GT-1210 Usage Tips

This programmable controller is typically used in any of these situations:

¢

When local control or applications programming must run in the controller without a connection to a computer, or if supervisory computer control becomes unavailable.

¢

When standalone datalogging is required.

¢

When standalone peer to peer communication with other controllers is required.

¢

As a replacement for a legacy SixTRAK programmable gateway.

Ethernet Connections

Connect the Ethernet port on this and other SIXNET controllers to any local or worldwide Ethernet network using standard Ethernet cabling and hub configurations. If each controller is assigned a proper IP address, no conflicts will occur with other Ethernet devices.

TCP/IP Driver

All SIXNET communications use TCP/IP protocol over the Ethernet network. Your computer must be running a network driver that supports TCP/IP protocol. Network drivers are currently supplied with Windows 95 and Windows NT. Drivers are widely available for other versions of Windows.
