¢	512K of datalogging memory can store up to 250,000 analog values
¢	2 Megabytes of datalogging memory can store up to 1,000,000 analog values

How Much Datalogged Information Can be Stored?

Each Sixlog file is allocated a fixed amount of memory. Each record typically contains a time stamp (4 bytes), analog values (2 bytes each), and discrete values (8 per byte). The size of the record is automatically computed and displayed for you by the Sixlog software. The overall storage time (until the oldest data in a full file is overwritten by new data) is computed as:

Longest storage = (file size) x (capture interval) / (bytes per record)

Example:

16 analog values plus a time stamp are logged every 5 minutes into a 512K file.

Oldest data = 512,000 (approx) x 5 minutes / 36 bytes /record = 71,111 Minutes (49 days)

By default, the VT-IPM-1410 has more than 400K for datalogging and the VT-IPM-2410 has more than 1.9 Megabytes.

Adding I/O to a VersaTRAK IPm

Any combination of SixTRAK, EtherTRAK and RemoteTRAK I/O modules can be connected to a VersaTRAK IPm. A single VersaTRAK IPm supports up to 1,024 SixTRAK I/O and will interface with up to approximately 50,000 EtherTRAK and/or RemoteTRAK I/O.

Compatibility with VersaTRAK and Mini-VersaTRAK RTUs

There is 100% software compatibility between the VersaTRAK IPm and VersaTRAK / Mini-VersaTRAK RTUs. Some highlights:

¢	A VersaTRAK IPm supports the same suite of ISaGRAF functions in the VersaTRAK / Mini-VersaTRAK RTU. You can swap a VersaTRAK / Mini-VersaTRAK RTU for a VersaTRAK IPm and run an existing ISaGRAF program.
¢	All software features are identical without exceptions
¢	VersaTRAK IPm can be expanded with any combination of SixTRAK, EtherTRAK and RemoteTRAK I/O modules.
¢	You may exchange a VersaTRAK / Mini-VersaTRAK RTU or SixTRAK gateway to upgrade to a VersaTRAK IPm using the SIXNET Upgrade program. Partial credit will be given, based

upon the age of the unit you are returning.

Exceptions to Compatibility

¢	The VersaTrak ‘Disable ISAGRAF read of outputs’ feature is not supported. This setting is unnecessary for IPm stations due to their higher performance.

Why VersaTRAK IPm Instead of other SIXNET Controllers?

¢	VersaTRAK IPm offers more communication ports than are available on other SIXNET gateways and RTUs.
¢	The embedded LINUX operating system in the VersaTRAK IPm offers greater programming flexibility and performance than the legacy VersaTRAK / Mini-VersaTRAK RTUs.
