Micro-VersaTRAK µIPm Wiring Diagram

Notes:

  1. It is common to use a "straight through" Ethernet cable to connect the 10/100BaseT port to a switch or hub. A null modem ("crossover") cable is generally used to connect the 10/100BaseT port directly to a computer. However, IPm controllers have auto-crossover detection so either cable type will work in either application.

  2. Use a "straight through" Ethernet cable and the appropriate RJ45 to DB9 adapter to connect the RS232 Port B to a computer or modem.

  3. The RJ45 connector bodies on some IPm products are metallic and are connected to the Chassis GND terminal. Therefore, shielded cables may be used to provide further protection. To prevent ground loops, the cable shield should be tied to the metal connector body at one end of the cable only.
