Notes:

For Ethernet (-E) models, use a "straight through" cable to connect the "Ethernet" 10BaseT port to a hub or switch. Use a cross-wired cable when connecting directly to a computer’s Ethernet port.

For all models, connect the "System" port directly to a computer using a null modem ("crossover") cable.

For Serial (-S) models, connect the "RS232" port to an external modem using a "straight through" RJ45 Ethernet cable and the supplied RJ45 to DB9 male adapter.

The RS485 terminals 15, 16 and 17 may be connected to one RemoteTRAK module, EtherTRAK module or Modbus compatible device. See RS485 Port Wiring for more information.
