ST-AI-20M-08F Wiring Diagram
When connecting a 4-20 mA input signal to the ST-AI-20M-08 module, a jumper setting within the module base is required. Unplug the logic module from the module base and open the access door. There is one jumper for each of the eight input channels.
Select the GND position if your 4-20 mA device has terminals for external power. This type of transmitter usually provides the loop power.
Select the DC+ position if your 4-20 mA device uses loop power to operate. This is the case with many two-wire transmitters. If this position is selected for any inputs, then external 24 VDC power must be applied to terminals 17 and 18 of the ST-AI-20M-08 base.
Refer to the SixTRAK User manual on the SIXNET CD for more information on these jumpers.
