ST-Bus Wiring Guidelines

Max. modules controlled by one station	20
Required cable type	Any with 2 individually shielded pairs, 22 AWG min
Recommended cables	Alpha 2466C, Belden 8723, Carol C1352
Max cabling off each station	50 ft (16 M)

Connect up to 20 I/O modules directly to a station with a maximum total cabling of 50 ft.

Use an I/O Concentrator (ET-GT-ST-2 or –3) if you need more than 20 I/O modules.

ST-Bus connections may be wired in star configurations without restrictions.

Route ST-Bus wiring away from power wiring and sources of electrical interference.

Use an I/O Concentrator (ET-GT-ST-2 or –3) or other Sixnet station to interface SixTRAK I/O in additional cabinets. Make Ethernet or serial connections between stations as needed.

Use the supplied ST-Bus jumpers between directly adjacent SixTRAK components. Otherwise, use the recommended cable.
