Use the Capture Parameters window in Sixlog to define how data will be logged in the station. In this window you will define:
The number of data records to store. This number is limited only by the available memory in the station.
The method(s) by which data will be logged. You can choose among the following options:
- Log at a fixed rate. The default rate is one second. You can assign a time value from .03 to 3567586 (30 mS to 990 hours). Optionally, you can synchronize datalogging to start at a specific time of day.
- Log once upon a specified event signal. You can specify an event signal (from an ISaGRAF program) to trigger datalogging.
- Log upon a Start / Stop signal. You can specify a start/stop signal to enable or disable datalogging.
What to do if the datalogging buffer (memory) becomes full:
Select the "Cyclic Buffer" option to have the oldest data in the buffer overwritten with new data.
Select the "Save Until Cleared" option to have the station suspend datalogging until Sixlog retrieves the data and then sends a Clear Data Records command.
