The I/O and module tag names you create for your SIXNET devices are stored in your SIXNET project (.6pj) file. Using the exporting capability in the SIXNET I/O Tool Kit, the tag names you assigned can become readily available to many Windows applications. These include:
ISaGRAF IEC 1131 programming. The tag records in the ISaGRAF export files contain I/O tag names and analog I/O scaling values from the station configurations.
Citect. The Variable tag records in the Citect project you select will contain the I/O tag names and analog I/O scaling values from the SIXNET project file. The I/O device names from the Citect project are automatically inserted as well.
Intellution Fix. The tag records in the .GDB file contain I/O tag names and analog I/O scaling values from the Plant Floor and Remote I/O configurations.
CSV ASCII. Spreadsheet applications that can import comma separated variable (.CSV) files. The tag records in the .CSV file contain I/O tag names and analog I/O scaling values from the station configurations.
OPC Servers. The Kepware OPC servers can open a tag data file that created by the exporting feature in the I/O Tool Kit.
By exporting SIXNET tags to your Windows applications, you can reduce or eliminate the need to create and maintain tag names within your different programs.
Select "Export" from the File menu in the SIXNET I/O Tool Kit program to create these export files.
