DC Power Wiring
Connect 10 - 52 VDC to the VT-MODEM-3 as shown. The modem can be powered from any industrial DC power supply such as the SIXNET ST-PS-024-02N, VT-PS-024-01N or equivalent. All the screw terminals should be tightened to a maximum of 3.48 in-lbs.
Telephone Cable
Connect phone lines to the RJ-11 jack as appropriate. One RJ-11 jack is provided to connect directly to the telephone network.
RS422 / RS485 Cabling
Refer to Wiring and DIP switch settings for typical wiring configurations and DIP switch settings. Fabricate a cable to connect the modem's RS422 / RS485 port to the field device(s).
